You can make a lasting impact on homelessness in San Diego. ISN is committed to providing effective, strategic and innovative solutions for individuals and families who are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

$1000 provides 70 hours of childcare for El Nido mothers. Childcare enables mothers to pursue educational and employment goals which are key to building a new beginning.

$500

$500 provides 1 month of Enrichment Program courses in art and computer for children at El Nido. The Enrichment Program are vital learning and healing for El Nido families.

$150

$150 provides materials for the financial planning workshop for 30 Rotational Shelter guests.

$75

$75 provides a monthly bus pass for a Rotational Shelter guest so they can get to work and make progress on their case plan.

Monthly Giving
Make affordable monthly gifts and provide sustaining support for vital services that help individuals and families in need year-round, regardless of giving trends or seasonal fluctuations.

Donate Stocks or Securities
It is easy to make an important contribution to help support our homeless clients by donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or securities. You should consult your financial advisor or tax accountant about making a donation of this type.

Workplace Giving
Many companies sponsor employee giving programs to support their employees passion for giving, often matching their donations of time and money. Check with your employer to see if they have such a program to maximize your support for ISN.

Taking advantage of these programs is a terrific way to increase the size of your gift, perhaps even double it.

Volunteer Application

Host and Support congregations gratefully welcome volunteers. There is no need for, or expectation of, congregational involvement. Assistance with meal preparation, laundry services, and set-up would be fantastic.

If you are part of a congregation that is not in the Interfaith Network, and you would like to volunteer then please contact our office at 619-702-5399.

Workshop Presenters: The network provides career planning and household budgeting workshops to our unhoused guests. Often, volunteer presenters are in the Human Relations or Financial fields, but that is not a requirement.

Volunteers are needed to provide occasional respite child care, educational tutoring (for both adults and children), or for donation pick-up and transportation. As this is a domestic violence safe harbor program, all volunteers must pass background checks.

On occasion, we need assistance with basic office tasks or mailings (labeling, stuffing and sorting); compilation of volunteer packets (involves copying & sorting; typing); data entry (instruction/supervision provided); or occasional assistance with phones. Familiarity with PCs on a Windows platform would be helpful, but not necessary.
